Our clients site in Tasmania is on the doorstep of the Derby Forest Reserve. A former tin mining town, its fresh air is now enjoyed by locals and fanatic mountain bike riders.

Our design for a 3 bed home, utilises the sites slope to stagger pavilions, and allow North light into each part of the home. Both vistas and access to light drove the form and articulation of the house. Protection form the elements was key to ensuring this home was enjoyable

It's corrugated cladding is a nod to the towns former industry, and the stacked timber decking mimics the timber drying stacks dotted all over Tasmania.

We love rural and coastal houses. If you’ve got ideas, we’re keen to hear them.
